I myself am not returned student but full Japanese, so I am not be able to sympathize with her, who appears this story, completely. However, if I were she, I also would like to discover who I really am. Before I have listened to the New, President Obama had taken a trip to the village Kogelo, Kenya to explore himself roots. The moment, I was interested in various roots. To regard with she, I think she would like to explore herself too. Also I think my own culture is important now, because my own culture makes me behalf as like Japanese.

I agree that the Millennial Generation including not a little most of children born in the late 20th century has a global perspective. In the background, I think two factors could be existed. First of all, the notion of globalization, which means a lot of different countries connected with each other in politically, economically, technically and so on, has been spreading out. The other factor is that distributing information technology such as the Internet has been developed. These factors make young people today brought up in this surroundings get interested in everything relevant to the world. And they can know exactly what is happening all over the world from a very young age. As a result, we can cultivate the global perspective naturally and we always think about around other countries when we conduct all ours actions. They can express their ideas to use the Internet or Facebook and speak English.

I would like to introduce myself to you. Hi! My name is Azusa Iwai. I am the first grade student of the English Literature Department. I live in the next town, Ryouke in Yokohama. I can come to school by bicycle, which takes twenty minutes. I was born in Kamakura, Kanagawa. I have not lived in foreign counturies yet but I have been a lot of countries (England, USA, Italy, Egypt and so on) to take a family trip. So I am very interested in the culture and history of foreign countries. My hobby are both watching movies and singing songs. With regard to movies, I prefer documentary movies and I watched "Malcolm X" yesterday. This is the reason why I would like to improve my English skills and then understand what movie stars say and the story without Japanese subtitles. With regard to singing, when I was high school student, I belonged to a chorus club. We used to practice singing songs almost every day. We participated in the NHK contest which is held every summer. One of the unforgettable memories was that we won the bronze prize. Now I belong to the club "Ryugakuseikai". I am pleased to interact with foreign students from various countries such as China, Korea and so on. In this year, my goal is to be able to write a little longer essay and read a few foreign books. I also would like to speak more English what I want to say. I am trying to study hard. I finish to discribe about myself.

If I could read sentences smoothly and understand the content, I would realize that reading English is very interesting. But for me, ironically, whenever I try to read sentences so fast, I can not completely understand the content. In particular, when I read both the novels and fictions, I have a feeling it is getting more and more difficult for me to understand what the author try to convey and the story. I have read "Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone" before. I took much time to enjoy someone's description of expression and action but I did not perfectly appreciate. I had also a lot of trouble imaging the visual scene. Therefore, I will want to remember new words by the internet site where Jana introduced for us in class and read a lot of foreign books.

My final goal is to read correctly and quickly English. To do that, it is necessary for me to acquire a lot of important words and practice to catch the sentence structures and learn how each sentences are used written. That is to say, I would like to learn how each sentences are connected and put together. Then I will be able to find topic sentence and author idea in the near future. I will also understand paragraphs relationship and I can read correctly and quickly English. So please teach the structure sentences and how each sentences are used written and so on.
